KUMBURAK 6 km from Nová Paka are the ruins of Kumburk Castle, which was built in the early 14th century. Markvartice family. The castle was gradually rebuilt by various owners, ravaged by the Swedes during the Thirty Years' War and demolished in 1658 by order of Emperor Leopold.
